I’m Sam Bail – Data Engineer, educator, and founder of Bright Nights Social (formerly Third Place Bar), an alcohol-free nightlife platform in New York City. I’m currently based between Berlin and NYC. I’ve been working at data-centric startups doing things like healthcare data analysis and building an open source data quality framework for over a decade. I also do a lot of conference talks and workshops around data, Python, Postgres, and general data things. I’ve also been hosting events in the non-alc space and writing about non-alcoholic topics since 2022.
